Concerning a Workshop on Acupuncture at the University of Mainz, June 26, 2004 Press Note The medical "Thermography" does not register heat radiation. First experimental approach to the evidence of meridians and related information channels in the body. Dr. Klaus Peter Schlebusch, physician of Essen, and Prof.Dr. Fritz-Albert Popp (IIB,Neuss) showed after three years collaboration in the field of infrared (IR) diagnosis by means of a special IR camera that the so called heat radiation of the body is no means "heat radiation" in the accurate physical sense. Rather, the investigations confirm the claim of Popp that the IR radiation of the body belongs to the tail of biophotons toward longer wavelengths. Biophotons have been found by Popp and Ruth around 1975 at the University of Marburg. The spectral range of biophotons under investigation covered there 200 to 800 nm, but the extrapolation of the excitation temperature to longer wavelengths pointed just to the right intensity of the known IR radiation of the body. The results which have been obtained now after more than 7 000 pictures in the IR-range by Schlebusch and Popp show evidence of · extraordinary high and stationary "temperature" gradients
on the body which could not get displayed by thermal radiation,
The results agree completely with the results of the IIB group in the field of biophotonics. This research field was created by this group of reputated scientists around 1990 (see, for instance, Fritz-Albert Popp and Lev Beloussov (eds.): Integrative Biophysics-Biophotonics, Kluwer Academic Publishers, Dordrecht-Boston-London 2003.).According to the theory of Popp, the body is regulated by a photon field of extremely high degree of coherence. In its capacity of destructive and constructive interference it forms electromagnetic field patters which are the regulatory forces for the movement and activity of biomolecules. The frequencies range from UV to ELF, covering also the IR. The regulation patterns depend on the boundary conditions and the molecular contents which - in turn - can be changed by the radiation, such that the mutual coupling of field and radiation gets the driving force of stabilization and regulation. The theoretical basis has been published several times (see bibliography or summary in this homepage). Now it gets clear that even unknown fields as acupuncture or homeopathy become understandable by the experimental results including the outworked theoretical basis. Schlebusch and Popp announced for a patent. They were invited to further common research and development of these exciting results. |
